Program Introduction
The Executive Master’s in Theology, Spiritual Geography & Eco-Missional Strategy (EM-TSGES) is a 6-month hybrid postgraduate program designed for visionary leaders, pastors, missionaries, scholars, and professionals committed to integrating theology, place-based analysis, and ecological stewardship into transformative missional practice.
In a time when the global church faces complex challenges—from climate change and social injustice to cultural fragmentation and rapid urbanization—this program provides participants with the tools to discern, map, and respond strategically to the interplay between faith, environment, and community.
Through a combination of academic rigor, applied research, field-based learning, and reflective praxis, participants will be equipped to design and lead sustainable eco-missional initiatives that honor both God’s creation and human communities.
The program is structured around 6 modules (17 courses):
Month 1: 2 foundation courses
Months 2–6: 3 courses each, focusing on leadership, policy, integration, and applied research
Delivered in a hybrid model (online, seminars, and practical engagements), EM-TSGES allows students to balance professional responsibilities while advancing their theological, strategic, and missional competencies.
Program Scope
The scope of EM-TSGES covers three interconnected domains:
1.Theological Foundations:
oDeep engagement with Christian theology, eco-theology, and African missional perspectives.
oExploration of biblical, historical, and contemporary frameworks for holistic mission.
2.Spiritual Geography:
oTools and methods for mapping spiritual, social, cultural, and environmental realities.
oAnalysis of how geography, place, and context shape ministry and community transformation.
3.Eco-Missional Strategy:
oDesign and implementation of sustainable, contextually relevant ministry strategies.
oLeadership, governance, advocacy, and policy engagement for creation care and social justice.
The program culminates in a Capstone Project and Oral Presentation, where participants synthesize research, theology, and applied practice into an actionable eco-missional initiative.
